Strong Minds “Start of the Day Pause”. Each morning when we wake, we have an opportunity to create what inspires us and get the most from the day ahead. The moment we first open our eyes and come into consciousness awareness we have the precious opportunity missed by the majority of us. It could, however, set the tone for rest of your day ahead. It’s in this moment that we can access our creative mind, when it’s most open and receptive to receiving messages such our ‘to do/wish list. If we offer ourselves fully to the creative process by filling this moment with what inspires us most, set our goals then it could make each and every day significantly more focused with greater outcomes. It may be that we want to be more generous, or we may want to be more open to beauty in our daily lives, to finish a long outstanding task, to call someone we’ve been meaning to; from small or too great our mind is ready to receive. Whatever situation you choose, bring the vision into your mind as your creative thoughts see and feel yourself doing it; vision it in the smallest detail you can conjure up. If we empower ourselves, it will manifest into the guiding principles and actions of our day.  Sometimes we wake up with a mood already in place, a good happy mood, a downward mood or an angry mood even, sometimes for no reason other than we’ve woken up with it. It’s important to give this feeling our awareness but not our engagement and acceptance. It can let us know and deepen our awareness as to what might be going on inside us, as well as around us. As long as we are conscious, we are alive. When we can become aware of our feelings within our awareness we can also change the downward feelings and introduce new affirmations or visions as our conscious offering to the day. So start and begin the following day even before you go to sleep, imagine what you want to bring to your next waking moment. It could be that you simply want to be more open to whatever comes your way or you may want to summon a particular feeling.   Perhaps wanting to be a good listener, or to help a friend or colleague who may be struggling, it’s personal to you, but make it happen by planting the seed before you go to sleep and as soon as you wake, the rest will follow. Reaffirm your vision and thoughts as you shower and eat your breakfast, as well as recalling it various times throughout the day. You could write it down and carry it with you on a piece of paper. Simply by being aware of those first moments when we wake we set the scene for a more conscious, enlivened experience, and we become active participants in the creation of our lives each and every day.
